Elie Akhrass is currently the iSME Fund Manager, a matching investment VC fund by the World Bank focused on supporting innovative Lebanese Tech Businesses. Before joining iSME, Elie was the director of the Asher Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK).
Prior to USEK, Elie managed the programs of the UK Lebanon Tech Hub as their programs manager and director of the International Research Center. Elie started his career at Kafalat where he assessed the feasibility and credit risk of more than 1500 SME projects across Lebanon.
Elie holds a Masters’ degree in Economics from Saint Joseph, Lebanon University and a postgraduate diploma in Innovation and Design Thinking from MIT, Columbia, and Tuck at Dartmouth.
