Fadia is the financial inclusion and enterprise officer at ILO, where she focuses on Lebanon and Iraq as part of the
PROSPECTS Program. She has more than 19 years of experience in financial inclusion in the MENA region. Prior to joining the ILO, Fadia led the start-up and operations of social financial service providers and served at the United Nations, leading various microfinance and SME development initiatives including in post-conflict countries. She also founded an NGO dedicated to women and youth empowerment and she is a master trainer in financial education.
Fadia, a Fulbright grantee, holds a master’s degree in International Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University in the United States, in addition to a B.A. in accounting and a B.A. in Business Administration, both from Beirut Arab University in Lebanon.
