Les axes du colloque
Le colloque accueille l’apport d’intervenants en arabe, français et anglais, dans l’un ou l’autre des axes suivants :

-I- Approche philosophique
S’inscrivant dans la perspective d’une anthropologie philosophique, l’approche philosophique tente une phénoménologie du féminin qui s’interroge sur la spécificité du féminin et met en lumière ses composantes Elle s’intéresse également de près à la pensée féministe arabe, ses commencements, son évolution, ses défis, ses concepts, ses grands thèmes, ses pionnières, et met en question la possibilité (ou l’impossibilité) d’un nouveau féminisme arabe.

-II- Approche sociologique
Pouvant comprendre des études descriptives, analytiques, statistiques ou transversales, l’approche sociologique est plurielle. Elle autorise et privilégie les études comparées mettant en parallèle sur un même point un ou plusieurs pays arabes. Cinq thèmes sont retenus :

1- Le statut juridique de la femme : citoyenneté, droits politiques et droits civils. État des lieux et étude critique des codes et de leur mise en application
2- La violence conjugale
3- Le crime d’honneur
4- La discrimination sexuelle (notamment en milieux professionnels)
5- L’image de la femme : dans le message publicitaire, dans le livre scolaire, dans la littérature populaire

-III- Approche culturelle
Le développement de la dimension culturelle est proposé suivant quatre pistes :
1- Les stéréotypes féminins dans l’inconscient collectif des peuples arabes
2- La perception de la femme par l’homme arabe dans la presse, la littérature et les arts
3- La perception de la femme arabe par elle-même dans la presse, la littérature et les arts
4- La perception de la femme arabe dans la presse, la littérature et les arts en Occident

-IV- Approche politique
Le combat politique de la femme arabe (approche sociohistorique avec une mention spéciale de la femme palestinienne) et sa contribution aux révolutions du « printemps arabe ». Témoignages.

-V- Approche religieuse
La femme arabe entre texte religieux et réalité sociale : l’adhésion inconditionnée aux fondamentalismes en vogue ou la relecture critique des textes dans une perspective moderne ?

-VI- Les pionnières
Cet espace est réservé à l’hommage que le Colloque souhaite rendre par une conférence, une projection de documentaire, une réédition, etc. à la mémoire de grandes femmes arabes dont l’œuvre ou l’action ont marqué l’histoire des femmes dans nos sociétés et réalisé pour elles un avancement dans un domaine du savoir ou dans le quotidien.



Research Areas of the Colloquium
The colloquium welcomes the communications of speakers in Arabic, French and French, according to one of the following research areas:

I- Philosophical Approach
As part of a philosophical anthropology perspective, the philosophical approach seeks to deal with the phenomenology of women, through tackling the specificity of women and shedding light on their constituent elements. It also attempts to look closely into feminist Arab thought: its beginnings, evolution, challenges, concepts, major themes and pioneers, thereby reconsidering the possibility or impossibility of a new Arab feminism.

II- Sociological Approach
The sociological approach is pluralistic, covering descriptive, analytical, statistical or transversal studies. It also takes into account comparative studies dealing with one specific point in one or more Arab countries. Five topics are highlighted within the sociological approach:

1- The legal condition of women: citizenship, political and civil rights. Field studies and critical studies of codes and their enforcement
2- Domestic violence
3- Honor crimes
4- Sexual discrimination (particularly in the professional field)
5- The image of women: in advertising, school textbooks and popular literature

III- Cultural Approach
The cultural approach is developed according to four topics:
1- Female stereotypes within the collective unconsciousness of the Arab peoples
2- The perception of women, by Arab men, in media, literature and arts
3- The perception of Arab women, by themselves, in media, literature and arts
4- The perception of Arab women within media, literature and arts of the West

IV- Political Approach
The political struggle of Arab women (including a socio-historical approach, with a special mention of Palestinian women) and their contributions within the revolutions of the Arab Spring. Testimonials.

V- Religious Approach
The positioning of Arab women between religious texts and social real-life: unconditional adherence to popular fundamentalists or critical rereading of texts within a modern perspective?

VI- The Pioneers
This space is reserved for the tribute that the colloquium wishes to pay, through a lecture, a documentary projection, or a new edition of a book, etc. in the memory of leading Arab women, whose intellectual or field achievements have marked the history of women in our various Societies and achieved progress for them in areas of knowledge, or within their daily lives.
