The first Conference of Plastic Surgeons of Lebanese origin was organized by the Lebanese Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Esthetic Surgery at the Metropolitan Hotel, Beirut. More than 200 participants and lecturers from different countries attended the conference.

CECAL was represented by its Director, Mr. Roberto Khatlab, who met with the participants and lecturers of Latin America, including 18 medical doctors: 1 from Argentina, 14 from Brazil, 1 from the University of Ecuador, 1 from Haïti and 1 from Mexico. On this occasion, Dr. Eduardo Dib Daoud, professor at the University of São Paulo, and was hosted by Rev. Fr. Hady Mahfouz, USEK President, Rev. Fr. Boulos Naaman, Vice-President, and Dr. Kamal Kallab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences and Mr. Roberto Khatlab, CECAL Director.
