Mr. El-Khoury, has 44 years of experience in business. He has served as the Director of the Mechanical Engineering and Industry Department since 1992 at Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners), is currently a board member of one of Dar’s international subsidiaries, the chairman of K. Invest, a family holding, and of Le Pré, an agro-industry presently under construction and due to start production by end 2019.

His many years of technical experience include planning, feasibility studies, basic design, detailed engineering design, preparation of tender documents, follow-up, supervision and commissioning of building services, building management systems (BMS), fuel farms, fluid pumping and transportation, water and sewage treatment, and sophisticated mechanical installations for industrial plants, airports/seaports, tunnels, hotels, hospitals, educational facilities, religious edifices, military complexes, sports and recreational facilities, and many others. His experience includes over 427 projects in 24 countries in various areas of the Middle East, the Arab Gulf region and Africa.

Through continued education (MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering, 1991) and active participation in seminars and conferences, both in-house and abroad, Mr. El-Khoury has kept pace with technological progress in his field.

Mr. El-Khoury holds:

• A MSc Advanced Mechanical Engineering from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, UK, 1991
• A DIC Diploma from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, UK, 1991
• A Diplôme d'Ingénieur Electromécanicien from Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Beyrouth (ESIB), Lebanon, 1973.
