1- How can I apply for a loan agreement if I am an active student?
If you are interested in applying for the loan agreement option, you can send an email at: student.loan@usek.edu.lb.
2- Do interests apply to loan agreements?
No interests apply.
3- Can I still benefit from the financial aid discount if I apply for a student loan?
Certainly, you can still benefit from the financial aid discount or any other discount even if you apply for a student loan.
4- Can I receive my diploma or any official document while under a loan agreement?
No official documents will be delivered until the payments of the loan agreement are settled after your graduation.
5- Do I need to re-sign the student loan agreement every semester?
No, you will sign the loan agreement only once. However, you are required to notify us of the loan renewal on a semester basis.
6- Which documents do I need to provide to benefit from the loan agreement?
You only need to submit a copy of your Lebanese ID and a copy of your guarantor's ID.
7- Is it possible for me to settle the loan payments while I am pursuing my studies?
As outlined in the loan agreement bylaws, you are not required to make any loan payments during your studies. All payments are to be settled after your graduation.
8- Can foreign students benefit from the loan agreement?
No, the loan agreement is available to Lebanese students only.
9- Is it possible to cover all tuition fees through the loan agreement?
The loan agreement can reach up to 30% of your tuition fees per semester.
10- When is the appropriate time for me to apply for the student loan?
You can benefit from the student loan after registering for any semester and once your tuition fees for that semester have been charged. You can send an email at student.loan@usek.edu.lb to initiate the process.
11- How long Is my loan settlement period?
You must settle your outstanding loan within a period of two years after your graduation.
12- Is there a grace period provided after my graduation to settle the loan?
Yes, one-year grace period is granted to students who have benefitted from the student loan.
14- If the donation has not been discounted yet, should I settle my tuition fees?
It depends on the amount of the donation to be received. For more info, please send an email at: dpstudents@usek.edu.lb.
