Job Summary
This position is open to assistant and associate professors. The successful candidate must be an accomplished researcher in their field with a proven track record in teaching and professional services, as they are expected to contribute to teaching/research activities and services in their department.
Research Responsibilities
- Publishes a minimum of two academic articles per year (at least one publication must be in a Scopus indexed journal)
- Actively seeks grant opportunities and applies for external funds (at least one external grant application per year and at least one successful grant application every two years)
- Supports research activities and conducts at least one workshop/research training (two to six hours) per year
- Assists in writing accreditation research chapter and provides regular updates regarding the UBS intellectual contribution database
- Coordinates UBS scientific activities and research events
- Contributes to establishing the Case Study Center (liaises with local businesses and partners to write case studies, publishes at least one case study per year)
- Reviews research manuscripts in marketing and management for the School’s Arab Economic and Business Journal (AEBJ) (a maximum of one to two reviews per month)
- Teaches twelve credits per semester
- Undertakes any additional academic or administrative tasks/missions as assigned by the Dean
Educational Background and Experience
- PhD or equivalent, with a preference for graduates from American-style universities.
- Relevant teaching experience in higher education using English as the language of instruction
- Outstanding record of international publications in high-ranking academic journals

Teaching and Learning Responsibilities
- Provides effective instructions and evaluations to meet program learning outcomes

- Supervises theses
- Participates in program-level learning assessment
- Creates program semester schedules
- Develops curricula, lectures, and presentations for online and offline courses
- Collaborates with peers to develop program curricula
- Undertakes all classes and other assigned responsibilities, such as office hours and other administrative tasks
- Engages in research activities to expand the UBS publication records
- Teaches twelve credits per semester
- Ensures continuous program improvement
- Designs revisions of program and course curricula
- Reviews program syllabi/course descriptions and supervises instructional materials
- Undertakes any additional academic or administrative tasks/missions as assigned by the Dean
Educational Background and Experience
- PhD or equivalent, with a preference for graduates from American-style universities.
- Relevant teaching experience in higher education using English as the language of instruction
- Research/publications and/or creative activities in high-ranking academic journals
- International scientific publications in the candidate’s area of expertise
