1- Am I eligible for counseling services?
Counseling services at our University are typically available to all currently enrolled students. We believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone in our community. If you are uncertain about your eligibility or have specific questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us and our team will be happy to help.
2- How can I schedule a counseling session?
  • QR code on the door:
    Simply scan the QR code posted on our door with your smartphone, and it will lead you to an online form. Once filled out, our team will get back to you promptly.
  • Email option:
    You can also schedule a session by sending us an email directly at ucc@usek.edu.lb.
    Please use the provided email template on our website, and our team will help you secure an appointment.  
  • Initial consultation:
    In certain cases, an initial consultation may be required. This allows us to better understand your needs and connect you with the most suitable counselor. During this consultation, we can discuss scheduling options.
3- Will I have to wait a long time to get an appointment?
UCC attracts a high number of students, and as a consequence, there may be a short waiting period. UCC is making its best effort to expand and enhance its availability to students.
3- How do I know I need counseling?
When your demands are the following:
  • Specific issues or short-term problems you wish to address (Stress, depression and anxiety, academic struggles, relational and emotional problems, sexuality concerns, communication skills)
  • Wishing to learn coping skills to help manage stress and improve relationships.
  • Looking for someone who can guide and support you as you learn to recognize problems and formulate healthy solutions yourself.
4- How long does counseling take?
It is a short-term counseling (8 to 24 sessions) and depends on the demand.
5- How long is a counseling session?
It is 45 minutes per live session and 30 minutes per online session.
6- In case of emergency, do I still have to make an appointment?
All appointments are usually scheduled one week ahead. In case of a walk-in emergency, we can give you the soonest appointment.
7- Are counseling sessions confidential?
Consultants are ethically committed to confidentiality. Information shared during sessions and student’s attendance are kept private and confidential.
8- Can I have counseling sessions in between semesters?
Yes, as long as you are an active student.
