Grace was born in Lehfed, a small town nestled in the mountains overlooking the fabled city of Byblos (Jbeil). While studying at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), Grace had to avoid bomb craters and artillery fire on her drives to class before going back home to her quiet, picturesque town. This contrast helped shape her versatile designs and style in both her paintings and architectural designs.
After earning degrees in Architecture, Interior Design and Graphic Design, Grace worked for several years in Beirut with iconic clients, such as the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International (LBCI) and the Rahbani Group, a family of renowned playwrights and composers.
Between 1992 and 1997, Grace relocated to Kuwait to help execute a series of high-profile design projects for the Government of Kuwait. Shortly after she returned to Beirut upon completion of these projects, Grace started teaching graphic design at the Collège Central in Jounieh and Notre Dame University (NDU) – Louaize until 2006.
In addition to teaching, Grace designed several notable architectural projects during the aforementioned period, such as Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros Card. Rai’s personal chapel of Saint Rafka in the Maronite Archdiocese of Jbeil. Her artwork was also exhibited in the Paul Guiragossian Museum of Contemporary Art on several occasions and was selected in 2001 for the First International Architecture Biennale in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
While with the Construction Development Company (CDC) in Qatar, Grace designed and supplied the entire artwork displayed in the St. Regis Hotel in Doha, along with several other large-scale commercial and residential projects. Her paintings have been exhibited in Miami, Beirut, Doha, New York, Boston, Sydney, and Rotterdam.
