Pierrette Katrib is a Lebanese actress and TV presenter. She holds a Teaching Diploma in Theatre from the Lebanese University and is in the process of completing a MA in Translation from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK).
Her acting career started with the various TVCs in which she appeared and which were shot between Lebanon, the Middle East, East Asia and Africa. Her actual debut in the world of TV series was in 2006 where she was cast as the leading actress in the Lebanese drama Nidal, which earned her a respected reputation amongst peers and fans alike. Pierrette later starred in the pan-Arab drama Ruby.
In 2007, her cinema debut was in Hany Tamba’s French-Lebanese production Une Chanson dans la tête (Melodrama Habibi) as the leading actress alongside veteran French actor Patrick Chesnais. Since then, she has been regularly appearing in several features and short films that took part in various international festivals, in addition to acting in local and foreign TV series.
In 2014, Pierrette took part in Romeo Lahoud’s play Tarik Al Shams, in which she took on the role that should have been played by the late diva Salwa Katrib. The play performed for three consecutive months at the Casino du Liban. She also starred in The May 6 Movement, a play by the Sabbagh Brothers that ran from the end of 2017 until March 2018 at the Palais des Congrès, Lebanon.
In addition to her passion for acting, Pierrette has been co-presenting Akhbar Al Sabah, a live morning TV show on Future TV since 2007. She also co-presented Swalefna Helwa on Dubai TV between 2010 and 2012.
Pierrette is also the master of ceremonies for several high-profile companies and social events, such as the Beirut International Film Festival, the Murex d’Or Awards ceremony, CAEL, The Luxury International Network, the Lebanese Franchise Association, MetLife, Al Futtaim, LG, Damas Jewelry, Bassma, and the Salon du Chocolat.
