A talented Lebanese artist born in Aintoura – Metn, Hisham El Hajj started his musical career in LBC’s talent show Studio El-Fann, winning the golden medal and an appreciation certificate in the Lebanese Folk Song category from iconic artist Zaki Nassif and director Simon Asmar. He studied oriental singing, the oud and vocal exercises at USEK, which helped him compose multiple songs, such as: “Bmout Fiki”, “Habibi”, “Baaref Chtaetele”, and “Ya Jnoub Ya Mehtal”.
Hisham was invited by the 9th Video Clip Oscar Festival, held in the Egyptian city of Hurghada (Ghardaqa), and received an award for Best Young Arabic Performer for his song “Habibi Ana”. The festival jury included Dr. Abdel Menhem Saad (president of the jury), as well as artist Nelly and Dr. Mohamed Sultan, among others. He has also received many awards from various universities, organizations, and political figures.
With regard to video clips, Hisham El Hajj collaborated with the best directors in Lebanon and the Arab world, such as Tony Abou Elias, Adel Serhan, Jamil Jamil El-Maghazi, Edward Bachaalani, Bassem Christo, Ziad Khoury, and Rindala Kodeih. In addition to his many albums - “Rajeelik”, “Weleat”, “Habibi Ana” - he has recorded many hits in Lebanon, the Arab region and abroad, such as: “Olilon Aal Bayt Bafoot”, “Esmallah”, “Bmout Fiki”, “Hall Men Tnein”, “Aloha”, “Baladna”, “Maazour”, “Eza Allah Aatani”, “Ahla Lebnaniye”, “Taamar Lebnan”, “Layli w laylat”, “El rahma”, “Chou fiha”, “Ya omri”, “Saabi”, “`ekdet dareb”, “Enti w ana”, “Sehrak majnoun”, and “Ma ygader alla”.
In 2010, Hisham released his song “Baladna”, featuring Egyptian singer Amina, the video clip of which was directed by Edward Bachaalani. The video is a panorama of the cultural heritage of Lebanon and Egypt, showing Wadih Al Safi, Em Koulthoum, Fairuz, Abdel Halim Hafez, and Sabah. This work was key to Hisham’s artistic career, as he was awarded the “Murex d’Or” in 2011 for Best Arabic Song.
Over the past three years, Hisham El Hajj has produced his songs through LifeStylezStudios Production House, collaborating with various writers, composers and distributors, including: Nizar Francis, Tony Abi Karam, Ahmad Abed Al Naby, Hassan Al Mounjed, and Samir Nakhleh (as song writers), as well as Wissam Al Amir, Rawad Raad, Samir Sfeir, Georges Attieh, Jihad Hadchiti, Salim Yammine, and Salim Salameh (as composers).
On the music distribution level, Hisham El Hajj collaborated with Roger Khoury, Nasser Al Assaad, Hadi Charara, Tarek Madkour, Jean-Marie Riachy, Bassem Rizk, Hassan Houssamy, Antoine Al Chaak, Walid Kabalan, Mohamed Moustafa, and Rafi, among others. His international tours and performances have taken him to various parts of the world, including the United States, Canada, and Australia.
